THE PAST AND THE PRESENT
Cranberry Ambulance was founded in 1969 when Cranberry Township was still a very rural community. Our first ambulance station was shared with the fire company. At that time, the members responded to emergency calls from their own homes to retrieve the ambulance and then responded to the scene. Eventually, we moved into our own station that consisted of a trailer that was 12' x 70' in size. It had sleeping quarters for men and women, allowing the personnel to respond to an emergency directly from the station, shortening response times significantly.
In the early 1990's, the construction of our new station was underway!
The station being constructed in the picture below is the building we still use today.

As time went on, our ambulances became more "user friendly"!

Cranberry Ambulance responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Last year, we answered approximately 3200 requests for service.
